[Remote] Regional Account Manager- Northeast (REMOTE)

The role involves managing the full account lifecycle, proactively identifying opportunities, and collaborating with various internal teams to enhance the client experience.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong partnerships with brokers and clients, serving as a trusted liaison across your assigned territoryManage the licensing and appointment process for all producers while ensuring accurate and up-to-date broker/client information across systems, business plans, and compliance requirementsOwn the end-to-end account management experience, including identifying growth opportunities, securing additional lines of coverage, and driving retention within your book of businessLead the renewal process, partnering with Sales Executives on strategy, execution, and timely, accurate delivery of all renewal documentationProactively anticipate and respond to client and broker needs, delivering value-driven solutions and exceptional pre- and post-sale service, including resolving escalated issuesProvide account updates, insights, and solutions to leadership and project teams, identifying alternatives and driving effective problem resolutionMaintain a strong understanding of group insurance products, benefit offerings, and policy language to effectively support and educate clients and brokersTravel as needed to build and strengthen relationships with brokers, consultants, and clientsPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Underwriting, Billing, Eligibility, Claims, and Customer Service to deliver a seamless, high-quality client experienceSkills5+ years of account management experience, ideally supporting strategic partners, national accounts, and high-net-worth clients, with demonstrated success managing large, complex relationshipsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceProven ability to manage large, high-volume workstreams in a fast-paced environment while effectively project managing client needs through to completionExperience collaborating cross-functionally to develop client presentations and deliver strategic solutionsStrong knowledge of the insurance industry (sales, underwriting, or operations), including a solid understanding of employee benefits (life, dental, disability) and the RFP processAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); experience leveraging AI tools is a plusAbility to build and maintain strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders, partnering effectively to drive outcomesWillingness and ability to obtain a Life and Health License within a specified timeframeBenefitsBase salary increasesSpot bonusesShort-term incentive compensation opportunitiesMedical, dental, vision401(k) planPaid time offCompany OverviewEquitable provides consulting services to secure the financial well-being and retirement strategies for individuals and families.
