[Remote] Regional Account Manager

The Regional Account Manager will develop customer strategies to grow revenue, distribution, market share, and profitability with assigned accounts, while fostering strong relationships with retailers and key decision makers.ResponsibilitiesPromotes a customer-centered culture that strives to exceed customer needs, requirements, and expectationsDevelops and manages customer relationships within all levels of assigned retailers, buyers, and key decision makers; contribute to customer strategy ensuring local Flowers business objectives are achievedPartners with the BU/Brand Teams and Marketing to understand trends and consumer preferences and direct account strategy to maximize potentialWorks with the VP of Regional Accounts and the Brand Teams to Develop a Sales Plan that delivers Flowers sales and margin objectives within the Trade Promotion Management and accrual funding structurePartners internally with various other departments to properly plan, communicate and ensure excellent distributions by Flowers various distribution departmentsAchieves/exceeds all established key sales measures and targetsContributes to the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)Ensures open and effective lines of communication and collaboration with VP of Sales, supporting Regional Operations team, BU/Brand Teams, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other functions to achieve enterprise goalsFosters an environment that engages and educates the regional team with responsibility and the tools to achieve goals at region and building levelLeads, coaches, and supports the retail teamBuilds and develops a high-performing sales leadership team at the regional level and builds regional culture to ensure high performance resultsEnsures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Sarbanes – Oxley, Safety, etc.)Performs other duties which are deemed to be an integral part of the position, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and proceduresSkillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or FinancePossesses a minimum of 4 years' experience working in Retail Account Management and CPG salesAbility to travel up to 25%, with some overnight travelMaster's degree preferredPast success in teamwork and guiding salesEquivalent management experienceBenefitsComprehensive health and medical benefits401(k) Retirement savings planProfessional growth and leadership trainingPaid vacation, holidays, and parental leaveBenefits may vary depending on your work location.Company OverviewHeadquartered in Thomasville, Ga., Flowers Foods, Inc.
