They are seeking an experienced Recruiter to manage entry- to mid-level recruitment across various departments, ensuring a positive candidate experience and partnering closely with hiring teams.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end full cycle recruiting - Recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume & phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend final selection of applicants and close qualified candidatesConsult with leaders, hiring managers and human resources team on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation and sourcing strategies. Deeply understand the role requirements, team dynamics, success profiles, and establish realistic timelinesGuide and train hiring teams on recruitment best practices, objective evaluation techniques, and structured interviewing to mitigate biasDeliver an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience at every stage, serving as a knowledgeable and thoughtful point of contact throughout the processProactively build and maintain a diverse pipeline of high-quality talent through creative sourcing strategies, networking, industry events, and university partnershipsAct as a company brand ambassador when interviewing applicants, and when representing the company at recruiting events. Place and update all job postings in various media including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards and staffing partnersUse data and recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, pipeline conversion) to optimize process and advise stakeholders. Maintain accurate records in the ATS and contribute to continuous improvement of recruiting tools, templates, and workflowsSkillsStrong sourcing skills across LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, specialized job boards, and passive candidate outreachExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence, guide, and build trust with candidates and hiring managers at all levelsStrongly motivated to create a diverse candidate slate in every search, building equitable processes and sourcing strategiesAt least 5 years of full cycle recruiting experience within a corporate or agency environmentProven ability to manage a requisition load while maintaining quality, speed, and communication across diverse role typesDemonstrated track record of identifying inefficiencies in the recruitment lifecycle and successfully implementing process improvements and innovations through automationExperience in improving or implementing a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferredCompany OverviewMacmillan is a book publishing company.
