REMOTE Real Estate Attorney--CA Resident ONLY
Boutique Real Estate Firm Seeks Junior Real Estate Attorney
About Firm & Position:
• Boutique transactional real estate law firm representing major law firms that retain them to draft opinion letters for real estate financing transactions.
• 7 attorneys, 1 paralegal, 3 legal assistants. Strong support staff.
• Firm operates 100% remote in California, with occasional in-person gatherings 1-2x per year.
• Three attorneys previously placed in this practice remain with the firm—two for over six years and one for 1.5 years, with one having advanced to partner—reflecting a supportive, long-term environment.
Real Estate Finance Attorney Responsibilities:
• Exclusively review mortgage, loan, and financing documentation.
• Draft opinion letters certifying enforceability of loan documents, bankruptcy structures, and borrower authorizations.
• Handle 20 active deals at a time within a fast-paced environment; some transactions close within a week, others within a month.
• Maintain organization and timely communication with law firm clients who expect rapid turnaround.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals to ensure accurate, high-quality deliverables.
Hours: NO BILLABLES; work life balance position!
