[Remote] Quality Automation Engineer

They are seeking a motivated Quality Automation Engineer to design, execute, and maintain automated tests, ensuring the quality and reliability of software products while collaborating with the development team.ResponsibilitiesDesign and development of low-medium complexity automated test scriptsExecute automated test cases and report resultsIdentify, document, and track software defects to resolution using defect tracking tools like JIRADocument test cases, test results, and defects clearly and conciselyCollaborate with the development team to understand application functionality and testing requirementsMaintain and update existing automated test scripts. Ensure that automated tests are up-to-date with the latest application changes and enhancementsFollow automation best practicesCreate test designs; utilize best practices and methodologies to determine current and future solutionsUse analytical processes to understand issues and evaluate solutionsSkillsApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPTMotivated and detail-oriented individuals who have foundational knowledge of automation skills and eager to develop their automation testing skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred1-2 years Testing experience with 0-1 year in automation testing or equivalent automation trainingGood understanding of software testing principles and methodologiesBasic understanding of Gherkin test scenarios and feature filesUnderstanding of API & UI functional testingMust have experience with Cyara (IVR Testing)Understanding of end-to-end testing approach, and end user requirementsFamiliarity with Java programming language (Core concepts)Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Karate, JUnit, TestNG)Basic Experience with SQL database queryingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
