[Remote] Quality Assurance Engineer III Automation

The Quality Assurance Engineer III will work as an individual contributor, responsible for developing and executing test cases, leading automation efforts, and improving engineering processes to enhance service delivery for Veterans and their families.ResponsibilitiesExhibits a comprehensive understanding of the business, how practices interact, and what customer problems we're solvingEstimates, designs, and develops test cases as well as manual and automated testing with little feedback and guidance from their teamAble to lead the development of a variety of test suites and partner with the team on including them in the software development lifecycleAnticipates coverage needed for automation tools and frameworks and proactively provides itProactively writes boilerplate and exploratory test cases that cover unique or new functionality/ technologyAble to extend program testing strategies to provide plans to teams for new functionality/ technologyParticipates in planning sessions, demonstrating understanding of overall testing strategy for the program, CI/CD delivery models, etcActively participates in design and ensures building systems that are testable in the outsetSupports recruiting efforts by evaluating homework assignments and potentially assisting with interviewsSkillsBachelor's degree and 3+ years of experienceRelevant years of experience may be substituted for educationProgressive experience with relevant technologies, understands roles with which they interact and how their work impacts business goalDemonstrates moderate knowledge in testing methodologiesBenefitsCompany-subsidized health, dental, and vision insuranceFlexible PTO401K with employer matchPaid parental leave after one year of serviceEmployee Assistance ProgramCompany OverviewAd Hoc is a digital services company that helps the federal government better serve people.
