[Remote] Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of GreenPath’s web, mobile, and API-based technology solutions by designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testingBuild, enhance, and support scalable, stable, and maintainable test automation frameworksDevelop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression test suitesExecute automated testing and perform manual testing when automation is not appropriate or feasiblePerform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure responsive application behaviorCreate, manage, and maintain test data for automated and manual testing effortsPartner with development and QA teams to define and execute overall testing strategiesCollaborate with developers to ensure APIs and interfaces are well documented, testable, and automation-friendlyIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOpsParticipate in code reviews related to automation and quality initiativesDocument testing approaches, results, and known limitations clearly and effectivelyIdentify, document, track, and verify defects and fixesPerform regression testing as needed to ensure system stabilityEstimate effort for testing and automation activities and manage multiple priorities effectivelyPromote quality best practices and continuous improvement across QA processesStay current with emerging testing tools, techniques, and AI-driven automation capabilitiesEnsure adherence to GreenPath policies, procedures, and coding standardsSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance automationExperience with functional, regression, integration, and performance testingStrong hands‑on experience with backend API automation and front‑end automation for web and mobile applicationsExperience maintaining and improving test automation frameworksProficiency with REST API testing tools (Postman with Newman or similar)Proficiency with Selenium with Maven or comparable automation frameworksProficiency with Java or similar programming languagesProficiency with Eclipse or comparable IDEsProficiency with Azure DevOpsProficiency with source control systems (Git, SVN, TFS, etc.)Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queriesStrong experience writing test plans, test cases, and managing regression test executionExperience utilizing AI tools to improve automation quality and productivityExcellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skillsBenefitsCompetitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchGenerous paid time off and holidaysProfessional development and learning opportunitiesMission‑driven, collaborative work environmentCompany OverviewGreenPath is a national nonprofit that supports people's lifelong financial wellness.
