[Remote] Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with a strong blend of mainframe and modern application testing experience. This role will focus on validating complex systems across COBOL-based mainframe environments and cloud-native applications, with an emphasis on automation, APIs, and performance metrics (KPIs).ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute automated test scripts using existing frameworks and toolsPerform testing across mainframe (COBOL) and cloud-based applicationsValidate KPIs and performance metrics within applicationsConduct API testing using tools like Postman (including scripting)Monitor and analyze logs using Splunk to support testing and troubleshootingCollaborate with development teams working in Java Spring Boot environmentsSupport testing across AWS and/or Azure cloud platformsLeverage internal automation tools (Cypris) to enhance test coverage and efficiencySkills4+ years of hands-on QA/testing experience (automation preferred)Experience with mainframe testing (COBOL) or strong familiarity with mainframe environmentsProven experience with API testing & Postman scriptingSplunk (required)Test automation frameworks/toolsExperience testing cloud-based applications (AWS and/or Azure)Exposure to Java/Spring Boot environmentsStrong understanding of testing KPIs and quality metricsAbility to troubleshoot across both legacy and modern systemsExperience with Cypris (or similar automation tools)Exposure to front-end testingBackground in banking or financial services environmentsCompany OverviewInsight Global provides top talent and staffing solutions that help job seekers find careers in healthcare, finance, IT, and government.
