[Remote] QA Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NetForemost is a software development and technology consulting company that partners with startups and established organizations. They are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and usability of software applications throughout the development lifecycle, collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases based on business requirements and acceptance criteria
ā¢ Perform functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
ā¢ Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using Jira
ā¢ Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers to reproduce and resolve issues
ā¢ Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
ā¢ Validate completed user stories against acceptance criteria before release
ā¢ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to software quality and testing processes
ā¢ Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing using tools such as BrowserStack
ā¢ Support API testing efforts when required using tools such as Postman
ā¢ Ensure clear and comprehensive test documentation and bug reports
Skills
ā¢ 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
ā¢ Experience performing manual testing for web and/or mobile applications
ā¢ Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
ā¢ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
ā¢ Experience using Jira for defect tracking and test management
ā¢ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
ā¢ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
ā¢ Upper-Intermediate English level (B2) or higher, both written and verbal
ā¢ Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams
ā¢ Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools
ā¢ Experience using BrowserStack or similar cross-browser testing platforms
ā¢ Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks
ā¢ Knowledge of performance, security, or accessibility testing principles
ā¢ Experience testing responsive web applications and mobile applications
