[Remote] Purchasing Contract Administrator

They are seeking a Purchasing Contract Administrator who will perform analytical and core contract administration tasks, manage the solicitation of bids, and develop favorable agreements while ensuring compliance with contractual terms.ResponsibilitiesPerforms analytical and core contract administration tasks in support of Contracting and Value Analysis. Position includes heavy emphasis on strategic sourcing and system-wide contract standardizationManages and directs the solicitation of bids and proposalsAnalyzes proposal responses and contract alternatives to determine financial impact, negotiates and develops favorable agreements and contract terms and secures and documents discounts where possibleConducts analysis and research as needed to support Value Analysis initiativesDevelops, implements, and administers policies and procedures for the procurement of supplies, materials, equipment, services and capital projectsCommunicates and coordinates with Department Heads as needed to maintain cooperative relationships and consistent practicesMonitors and evaluates the performance of vendors to ensure that all parties are complying with contractual termsMeets with vendors and hospital staff to plan projects, resolve problems, standardize purchases and implement savingsDevelops expertise in the portfolio of contracts to which he/she is responsibleSkills4 year Bachelor's Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's DegreeCompletes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for roleHealthcare contracting and sourcing expertise including: Strategic sourcing methodologies (RFP/RFQ/RFI)Complex contract negotiation skills (pricing tiers, rebates, physician preference items)Understanding of GPO contracting structures and local contracting strategiesFamiliarity with clinical terminology and physician preference items (implants, devices)Experience negotiating contracts (including high-cost surgical implants/devices) focusing on cost reduction and supplier performanceExperience conducting supplier business reviewsSpend analytics utilization analysis, and savings validation and trackingExperience supporting product conversions, standardization initiatives and cost-reduction projectsCollaborative SkillsCustomer Service SkillsDetail OrientedExcellent Communications SkillsExcellent Interpersonal SkillsListening SkillsMicrosoft Office ApplicationsMultitaskingNegotiation SkillsOrganizational SkillsBenefitsGenerous time off, tuition assistance, and comprehensive benefitsInstant access throughout the pay period with Tower Advance Pay, ensuring financial flexibility and convenienceEmployee Assistance Program, Retirement Savings Program, Life Insurance, and more!Company OverviewReading Hospital is a hospital that provides healthcare services for cancer, diabetes, addictions, allergies, and surgery services.
