[Remote] Public Sector - Inside Sales Representative

They are seeking a Public Sector Inside Sales Representative to drive pipeline growth and revenue within government accounts by qualifying leads, nurturing relationships, and executing strategic account plans.ResponsibilitiesQualify inbound and SDR-generated leads to determine fit, buying readiness, stakeholder alignment, and potential opportunity valueConduct discovery conversations to understand customer challenges, initiatives, procurement timelines, and organizational prioritiesMaintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities for assigned Enterprise Account ExecutivesDevelop and execute engagement strategies to maintain prospect interest throughout extended public sector buying cyclesCoordinate follow-up activities, educational outreach, and stakeholder engagement effortsBuild relationships with key influencers, champions, and decision-makers within target accountsEnsure opportunities continue progressing through the sales process by maintaining regular contact with stakeholdersCollaborate with Enterprise Account Executives to develop and execute account plans for named accounts and target agenciesConduct account research to identify organizational priorities, funding sources, buying centers, and key stakeholdersMap decision-makers, influencers, procurement personnel, and executive sponsors within target organizationsAssist in identifying whitespace opportunities and expansion potential within existing accountsSchedule and coordinate discovery meetings, product demonstrations, and executive briefingsMaintain accurate CRM records, opportunity updates, stakeholder maps, and activity trackingSupport proposal development, procurement processes, and customer follow-up activities as neededPartner with Marketing, SDRs, and Customer Success teams to maximize account engagementSkills3-5 years of experience in public sector sales, business development, inside sales, or lead qualificationStrong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsExperience managing multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-selling environmentProficiency with CRM platforms such as SalesforceFamiliarity with enterprise software or SaaS salesUnderstanding of public sector procurement processes and buying cyclesExperience with account-based sales strategiesExperience in the physical security industryBenefitsCompetitive SalaryMedical, Vision & Dental Benefits401kStock OptionsHSA ContributionLearning StipendFlexible PTO PolicyQuarterly company ME (mental escape) daysGenerous Parental Leave policyHome Office StipendMobile Phone ReimbursementHome Internet Reimbursement for Remote EmployeesAnniversary & Milestone CelebrationsCompany OverviewOntic’s Connected Intelligence Platform centralizes security operations and data into one system of record.
