Remote Public Law Associate / Junior Income Partner (California – NorCal Preferred) Experience: 3+ Years Practice Area: Public Law, Land Use, Governance, Municipal, Employment & Compliance About the Opportunity A leading California law firm with nearly a century of excellence in municipal and public law is seeking a Remote Public Law Associate (3+ years) — or Junior Income Partner — to join its statewide practice. This is an outstanding opportunity to represent public agencies, municipalities, and governmental entities throughout California. While the position is fully remote, the firm prefers candidates based in Northern California for easier client collaboration and court appearances when needed. ⚖️ What You’ll Do • Advise and represent public agencies, cities, counties, school districts, and special districts • Handle matters involving governance, land use, contracts, employment, litigation, and regulatory compliance • Provide day-to-day operational counsel to municipal and public agency clients • Draft and review ordinances, resolutions, and contracts • Support litigation and transactional matters involving public entities • Collaborate with experienced attorneys across departments on complex legal issues ✅ What We’re Looking For • 3+ years of experience in public or municipal law (law firm or government setting) • California Bar admission required • Strong legal writing, analytical, and advisory skills • Familiarity with Brown Act, Public Records Act, Political Reform Act, and other public agency regulations preferred • Team-oriented, client-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities Compensation & Benefits • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits • Professional development and mentorship opportunities • Fully remote role with preference for Northern California candidates ️ About the Firm For nearly 100 years, the firm’s attorneys have provided ethical, knowledgeable, and practical legal solutions to public entities throughout California.
