NOVALINK SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking a Public Cloud Engineer to serve as the primary technical lead for the district's multi-tenant Azure environment. The role focuses on designing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to ensure resilience of critical educational and administrative systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign and manage a multi-tenant Azure architecture that prioritizes high availability and rapid recovery across diverse disaster scenariosLead the development and testing of Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) specifically tailored to cybersecurity defense and incident responseDevelop and refine technical contract language for the primary application vendor to ensure strict adherence to district disaster recovery standards and recovery time objectivesCoordinate and facilitate comprehensive tabletop exercises with internal stakeholders and external vendors to validate incident response readinessPlan annual disaster recovery process testing, ensuring all vendor-managed and district-hosted applications meet compliance requirementsImplement automated failover and recovery processes for cloud-based applications to minimize downtime during physical disasters or security breachesCollaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to integrate cloud architecture with active cybersecurity defense measures and incident response protocolsDevelop "offline process" playbooks and preparation strategies to ensure essential district functions can continue during extended system outagesOther duties as assignedSkillsExperience with multi-tenant Azure architectureExpertise in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP)Ability to design and implement recovery strategies for disaster scenariosExperience in developing and testing Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP)Knowledge of cybersecurity defense and incident response integrationExperience in coordinating tabletop exercises with stakeholdersAbility to plan and execute annual disaster recovery process testingExperience in implementing automated failover and recovery processes for cloud applicationsCollaboration skills with Security Operations Center (SOC)Ability to develop 'offline process' playbooks and preparation strategiesCompany OverviewNovalink Solutions LLC (Novalink) is a global consulting, engineering, and AI product development company delivering innovative technology and business solutions across industries including IT, Finance, Engineering, Healthcare, Insurance, Energy, Utilities, and Government.
