[Remote] Proposal Technical Writer

They are seeking a Proposal Technical Writer to manage compliant, high-quality proposal content by synthesizing technical, operational, and business inputs into clear narratives while collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring adherence to solicitation requirements.ResponsibilitiesDevelop proposal content by assembling and integrating information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluationEnsures that sections developed are compliant with solicitation requirements and incorporate strategies, win themes, and discriminatorsInteract with Business Units, Proposal Manager, Subject Matter Experts, and Teaming Partners to obtain content necessary to draft compelling proposal sectionsInterview SMEs, consultants, capture managers, and other proposal team members to obtain information for proposals and then independently develop technically clear and compelling proposal contentProvide insight on proposal content and where we can emphasize or incorporate strengths and benefits to improve responsesOrganize and carry out multiple tasks simultaneously under tight/changing deadlinesParticipate in daily stand-up calls, on live bids, detailing status of the proposal sections for which the writer is responsible, and identify any issues or resource requirementsParticipate "hands on" in all phases of the proposal development process including gate reviews, win strategy, win themes/discriminators, outlines and compliance matrices, color reviews, writing and editing, graphic design, desktop publishing, document production, and packaging and deliveringParticipate in strategy/solutioning sessions to develop winning approachesAssist in proposal graphic conceptualization and creation, as neededSupport drafting/development of technical, past performance, staffing plans, formatting of resumes, and management narratives for large scale, complex, strategic proposalsPrepare past performance questionnaires to be completed by customersSupport corporate writing and editing efforts as needed (marketing materials, website content, etc.)Maintain and update SharePoint repositories with re-use content and past writingEnsure proposal content is 508 compliant, when necessaryOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience supporting federal proposal development (RFPs, RFIs)Proven ability to develop compliant, quality proposal content that aligns with solicitation requirements, win strategies, and evaluation criteriaStrong experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, SMEs, and teaming partners to gather and synthesize technical contentDemonstrated ability to independently interview SMEs and translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling written narrativesExperience supporting full proposal lifecycle activities, including solutioning, content development, color reviews, editing, and final productionStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight, shifting deadlines and independently conduct researchProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools such as SharePointStrong editing, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills, including adherence to compliance requirements and formatting standardsAbility to contribute to proposal graphics, outlines, and compliance matrices is preferredPrior experience supporting federal agencies, specifically health ITPrior, successful experience working in a remote environmentAbility to work and complete tasks independently and take a proactive approachBenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision careMatching 401K and profit sharingPaid time offTraining time for personal developmentFlexible spending accountsEmployer-paid life insuranceEmployer-paid short and long term disability coverageAn education assistance program with potential merit increases for obtaining a work-related certificationEmployee recognition, and referral programsSpot bonusesOther benefits that help provide financial protection for the employee and their familyCompany OverviewIGS is a solutions provider, partnering with the Federal Government, to tackle the most challenging issues included interoperability, data analytics, business/clinical applications and operations, program/project management.
