[Remote] Property Accounting Supervisor

The Property Accounting Supervisor will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, supervise the accounting team, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and transaction processingEnsure all transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company and client policiesMonitor team workloads and ensure deadlines are metAssist with onboarding new properties and assignments where neededSupport and coordinate monthly close processesReview reconciliations, schedules, and reports prepared by staffAssist in preparation of financial statements and reporting packagesEnsure completeness and accuracy of supporting documentationProvide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to accounting staffTrain new team members and reinforce standard processes and proceduresReview work for quality and provide feedback for improvementPromote accountability, organization, and strong team collaborationServe as first level escalation point for questions, discrepancies, and issuesResearch and resolve complex accounting or transactional issuesEscalate risks or concerns to Accounting Manager or Controller as needed Process Execution & ImprovementEnsure adherence to established workflows and internal controlsIdentify process inefficiencies and recommend improvementsSupport implementation of new processes, tools, or system updatesEnsure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and client requirementsMaintain audit-ready documentation and support audit requestsHelp enforce strong internal controls across team activitiesSkillsStrong understanding of accounting principles and processesTeam leadership and coachingAttention to detail and accuracyOrganization and time managementProblem-solving and critical thinkingCommunication and collaborationBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred4–7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property accountingPrior experience leading or mentoring team members preferredExperience with property accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Avid, or similar)BenefitsCompetitive salariesBonusesMedical/dental/vision insurancePharmacy benefitsHealth savings accountFlexible spending accounts401(k) plan with company matchingPTOHoliday payCompany OverviewStream Realty Partners (Stream Realty) is a national real estate services, development and investment firm.
