Job Title: Remote Property Accountant Job Summary We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team. This role involves managing month-end close processes, preparing journal entries, reconciling financial accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for assigned properties. The ideal candidate should have experience in property accounting, including depreciation, accruals, and CAM calculations & reconciliations. Proficiency in Yardi Voyager, QuickBooks, and AppFolio is preferred. Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with property managers and accountants are essential for success in this role. Eligibility Criteria (Please Read Before Applying) • Location: Open to candidates from Delhi/NCR only. • Experience: Up to 2+ years in property accounting or a related field. • Salary: ?30,000 - ?50,000 per month (based on skills and experience). Key Responsibilities • Manage month-end close activities, ensuring accurate sub ledger and general ledger reconciliations. • Prepare and post journal entries for prepayments, amortization, re-class, and adjustments. • Maintain and update depreciation schedules, including journal entries for property, improvements, and leasing commissions. • Perform bank, credit card, loan, mortgage, and escrow reconciliations. • Prepare and post income, expense, loan, mortgage, salary, and wage accruals. • Collaborate with property managers and accountants during new property transitions. • Conduct monthly close calls with property teams to resolve outstanding items and streamline closing processes. • Process payments for insurance, real estate taxes, and other property-related expenses. • Prepare Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations for applicable properties. Qualifications & Experience • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Commerce (mandatory). • Experience: Up to 2+ years in accounting with a strong grasp of fundamental accounting principles. Skills Required • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for accuracy. • Time Management: Ability to handle multiple properties and meet strict deadlines. • Technical Aptitude: Quick learner, especially with accounting software & financial processes. • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with teams and stakeholders. • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work both independently and within a fast-paced team environment. Technical Requirements • Hardware & Connectivity: Reliable computer and high-speed internet. • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with basic accounting tools & software (training will be provided).
