Remote Proofreader
J.Walker Salon Group is seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Remote Proofreader to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the quality and consistency of our brand communications within the vibrant cosmetics industry, all from the comfort of your home.
As a key member of our content team, you will ensure that every piece of written material reflects our commitment to excellence, accuracy, and professionalism.
Key Objectives
ā¢ Maintain high editorial standards by reviewing and refining all written content.
ā¢ Ensure brand voice consistency across marketing materials, product descriptions, and digital content.
ā¢ Collaborate with content creators to deliver polished and error-free communications.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Proofread and edit a variety of content including website copy, social media posts, product descriptions, press releases, and internal documents.
ā¢ Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.
ā¢ Verify factual accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
ā¢ Collaborate closely with writers, marketers, and designers to ensure clarity and consistency.
ā¢ Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
ā¢ Provide constructive feedback to improve content quality and style.
Qualifications & Skills
ā¢ Proven experience as a proofreader, editor, or similar role, preferably within the cosmetics or beauty industry.
ā¢ Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
ā¢ Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for consistency.
ā¢ Familiarity with style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago Manual of Style) and brand voice adaptation.
ā¢ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
ā¢ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
ā¢ Proficiency with editing tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Grammarly).
