They are seeking a Project Manager to lead mission-critical communication system projects, ensuring successful implementation and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesServe as the focal point and lead cross-functional teams to deliver new or upgraded products/services from inception to completion (or transition)Ensure all projects adhere to accepted quality metrics, deadlines, and budget constraintsOversee the overall pre-tax profit and ensure proper management of the three constraints: quality, cost, and timeDirect and coordinate the work activities of the project team, ensuring optimal performance and motivationLead large programs or portions of very complex programsAccountable for accomplishing stated project objectives within the stipulated time and budgetDevelop the complete project plan, set deliverable dates, and track progressUtilize standard Project Management tools (schedule, critical path analysis, budget, change order, risk assessment, action item log, etc.) to analyze complex issues and develop effective resolutionsEstablish, track, and audit project budgets, analyze variances, and develop required action plansCoordinate internal resources (System Technologists, Field Service, Service Shop) and third parties/vendors for flawless project executionWork with the Scheduling and Engineering Management teams to ensure resource availability and allocationManage and communicate changes to the project scope, schedule, and costsMeasure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, reporting and escalating to management as neededServe as the primary communicator to the customer's organization and relevant internal senior stakeholdersConduct regular project reviews to communicate status and participate in project review and status meetingsSuccessfully manage the relationships of all project resourcesRepresent the organization on projects and may perform in a project leadership roleInvolved in the management of project staff including project reporting, administration, and communicationUtilize six sigma and project management methodologies (PMBOK understanding required) to ensure maximum project effectivenessLead and drive efficiency by using tools that support Project Management best practicesLook for ways to continuously improve Project Management efficienciesIdentify and communicate defects (in materials, part numbers, software versions) to appropriate product planners to resolve quality and reliability issues impacting upgradesSupport and help drive project close-out tasks, ensuring a successful project upgradeMay assist in developing business plans, strategies, and approaches to capitalize on business opportunitiesAggressive/Creative problem-solving skills, able to get things done in a multi-organizational environmentParticipation in quarterly project reviewsMust be able to travel to customer locations for on-site upgradesSkillsBachelors Degree AND 4+ years of experience in Project Management OR 6+ years experience in one of the following: Project Management, LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, Radio Communications, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT, Motorola, Military experience, or Public Safety experienceLegal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this positionResidence is mandatory in the State of Washington, Oregon or Northern California.
