They are seeking a Project Manager to lead the execution of critical power generation and energy infrastructure projects, overseeing the delivery of natural gas-fired power generation facilities and ensuring alignment among diverse stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, execution strategy, resource planning, governance structures, and delivery objectivesLead natural gas-fired power generation projects from development through commissioning and commercial operationDrive project performance against key objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, budget, and operational readinessFacilitate project closeout activities, lessons learned, commissioning support, and successful turnover to operations teamsServe as the primary owner’s representative and point of contact for EPC contractors, consultants, utilities, equipment vendors, and key stakeholdersOversee contractor performance, contract compliance, commercial negotiations, change management activities, and claims resolutionReview and approve construction strategies, procurement plans, and execution methodologiesBuild productive relationships across complex stakeholder groups to support successful project outcomesDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, risk registers, and reporting frameworksImplement project controls processes that improve visibility into cost, schedule, and execution performanceLead risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution activities throughout the project lifecycleProvide clear, actionable project updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholdersPartner with engineering teams to review and approve technical designs, engineering deliverables, vendor submittals, and construction approachesSupport the integration of reciprocating engine facilities, gas turbine plants, HV substations and switchyards, utility interconnections, BESS assets, generation resources, and data center infrastructureEnsure technical solutions align with project objectives, operational requirements, and long-term asset performance expectationsDrive quality assurance and quality control processes across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activitiesFoster a culture of safety excellence across all project activities and stakeholder groupsConduct site inspections, audits, and field reviews to verify adherence to safety requirements, project specifications, and quality standardsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, environmental obligations, permitting requirements, and applicable energy-sector standardsSupport safe and compliant project execution while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellencePartner with engineering, construction, commercial, operations, and executive leadership teams to drive decision-making and project successFacilitate collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain project momentumPromote accountability, transparency, and strong communication throughout project executionHelp cultivate a high-performing environment centered on technical excellence, ownership, and long-term value creationSkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering or design discipline10+ years of progressive experience in project execution, construction management, engineering management, or project leadership within power generation, energy infrastructure, oil & gas, utility, or heavy industrial sectorsDemonstrated experience executing projects from either the Owner's side or Contractor/EPC side through development, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational handoverDirect experience supporting the construction and execution of natural gas-fired power generation projectsKnowledge of quality assurance, commissioning, startup activities, and safety management systemsExceptional communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skillsA hands-on leadership style that balances strategic oversight with detailed execution and accountabilityResilience, sound judgment, and composure when navigating competing priorities and complex stakeholder environmentsA commitment to collaboration, continuous learning, inclusion, and long-term value creation aligned with Intersect's values of Equity, Humility, Authenticity, Long-run Value, and People Come FirstBenefitsEquity Grant, giving you a meaningful stake in our parent company.100% premium coverage for you and your dependents on medical, dental, and visionUnlimited PTO, plus two company-wide breaks (Fourth of July & end of year)Up to 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, plus 6 additional weeks for birth parents;
