[Remote] Project Manager- Industrial Controls & Automation
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kasa Companies is seeking a Project Manager for their Industrial Controls & Automation division. The Project Manager will oversee project schedules, budgets, and customer management to ensure timely completion of parcel system upgrade and integration projects, while collaborating with various teams and maintaining strong professional relationships with customers.ResponsibilitiesPlans, direct and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time, scope and budget constraintsReads proposals and scope of work for a system and gains an understanding of what is required and seeks any necessary clarifications on scope of work, timing, or budget issues at the beginning of the project and as issues ariseResponsible for ensuring the quality of goods and services to both internal and external customersDevelop and track a project execution plan that represents the customers’ scheduleProcures all materials in accordance with dock dates required to achieve plan and coordinates shipment of project materials to jobsiteSchedules and attends all internal and external project meetings necessary to keep all team members and stakeholders informed and on task to project plansInitiates and manages change orders driven by changes in project scopeKeeps the customer informed of project status through weekly meetings and written updatesProactively communicates project status to customers through consistent, accurate, and timely weekly written updates, ensuring transparency on schedule, scope, risks, and milestonesEstablishes and maintains strong, professional relationships with customers by serving as the primary point of contact and promoting open, solution-oriented communication throughout the project lifecycleCollaborate closely with Sales and internal stakeholders to identify, communicate, and resolve potential project risks, scope changes, and cost impacts before they affect customer expectationsManage subcontractors and their purchase orders, schedule, workflow, invoicing, change ordersFacilitate submitting drawings and information to the customerTrack submittal returns and distribution of informationLog and track open issues between Kasa and the customer or other external stakeholdersMaintain request For Information (RFIs) and answers if applicable to projectDefine customer buy-off expectations for end of projectProvide industry update information to Program Manager on projectsInitiates invoicing to customers and from subcontractors in accordance with contract termsCompletes monthly bonding report and participates in monthly Project Performance Reviews (PPR’s)Participates in department huddles, scheduling meetings, and engineering meetingsExemplifies Kasa Values including Teamwork, Integrity, Relationships, Play, Improvement, Perseverance, Conscientiousness and ExcellenceDemonstrates Kasa’s Behavioral Norms including Be Present, Speak Your Truth, Attend to Safety & Be Open to OutcomesVerifies adherence on projects to all company policies and procedures in respect to safety, ISO and project/engineering proceduresUnderstands and follows Kasa Standard Operating Procedures and Work InstructionsSupports and participated in Kasa’s continuous improvement initiativesComplies with all safety policies and proceduresComplies with all attendance standards and company policiesOther duties as assignedSkillsHigh School diploma/GED requiredDegree from an accredited college or university; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredExperience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook requiredAbility to interpret a variety of instruction, either written or verbal, diagram or scheduleMaintains an acceptable driving record (MVR)Ability to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to communicate effectively with peers and subordinates in a one-on-one and/or group settingAbility to work with fractions and decimals, converting them back and forthAbility to work independently as well as within a teamAbility to multi-task in a high pace environmentOrganizational skills and attention to detail a mustAbility to meet deadlines and prioritize time and various projectsAbility to work with confidential dataSkills in organization, prioritization and time managementWork under stress to meet project deadlines and minute attention to detailAssociates or Bachelor's degree in related management or technical field preferredExperience in management of industrial construction projects preferredExperience in technical field related to industrial systems and processes preferredProject Management Certification preferredCompany OverviewSince 1974, Kasa has been providing turnkey industrial controls and automation engineering expertise to a variety of manufacturers including the automotive, grain handling, food processing, baggage handling, parcel/e-commerce, and heavy/industrial equipment industries.
