They are seeking a Project Manager II to oversee project deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects within established scope, schedule, and budget while leading the successful delivery of engineering and design solutions.ResponsibilitiesAssembles project teams and assigns individual responsibilities to ensure technical skills, capabilities, and expertise align with project objectivesCreates and communicates project scope in coordination with technical teams, schedule and budget with the project team, client, and contractors and serves as primary liaison by informing all parties of project progress and challengesDevelops project budgets, reviews costs, and tracks adherence of planned budget to maintain client satisfaction and contribute to the execution and financial success of projectsSecures appropriate resources for all stages of the project, ensuring timely completion of assignmentsDevelop the quality management plan with the project team to ensure client and firm standards are metRecognizes potential risks or additional costs within project plans and implements strategies to minimize impactOrganizes and conducts routine project meetings with the client and project team to establish alignment on project expectations and performanceDocuments all project deliverables and maintain records including correspondence, design plans, and other project related filesDevelops and maintains strong relationships with clients to secure future workCoordinates contract negotiations and develop skills and understanding of other technical disciplines’ unique contract negotiation and billing requirementsMentors staff within the team on project management best practices utilizing Olsson Project Management programs and other project assurance services resourcesEnsure project data is maintained in accordance with project documentation requirementsAdheres to regulations and enforces safety standardsSkillsBachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or a related area preferredA minimum of six years of project experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry with increasing responsibilityMay have Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent Project Management certification or degreeAdept in and manages projects in accordance with Olsson's PM Statement of ExpectationsSuccessfully completes Olsson's Project Management Development training program and Olsson's Quality Management training within 12-18 monthsAdept in engineering and design terms, contract requirements, project financials, and operationsHas excellent client service orientation, communication, and presentation skillsSolid interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to generate innovative and effective solutions to complex problemsHas high-level organization, leadership, and negotiation skillsDetailed understanding of how the firm operates as a consulting business and how this role contributes to the success of the organizationA valid driver's license and a good driving historyWillingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as requiredRepresents Olsson in a professional manner at all timesBenefitsReceive a competitive 401(k) matchBe empowered to build your career with tailored development pathsHave the possibility for flexible work arrangementsEngage in work that has a positive impact on communitiesParticipate in a wellness program promoting balanced lifestylesFull-time employees will receive our traditional benefits package (health care, vision, dental, paid time off, etc.)Opportunity to participate in a bonus system that rewards performanceCompany OverviewOlsson is an engineering and design firm that focuses on improving the communities it serves.
