Riley Power Group is a leader in the industrial construction sector, and they are seeking a Commercial Project Manager to oversee construction projects from client engagement to project closeout. The role requires strong commercial and technical expertise to manage project execution, client relationships, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and prepare detailed proposals, bid packages, and project presentations for prospective clientsReview project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine scope, risks, and execution requirementsPerform project estimating, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and contingency analysisParticipate in client meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs to define project requirements and expectationsAssist in contract negotiations and project award processesAssume full ownership of projects from award through completion and closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling toolsCoordinate procurement, subcontractors, field labor, equipment, and material deliveriesMonitor project progress, budgets, productivity, and resource allocationManage project financial performance, including cost tracking, forecasting, invoicing, and change ordersEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and contractual requirementsConduct regular project status meetings with clients, field leadership, and internal stakeholdersIdentify and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues affecting schedule, cost, or qualityServe as the primary client representative throughout the project lifecycleDevelop and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business opportunitiesManage contract administration, scope changes, claims, and commercial correspondenceEnsure timely communication regarding project status, milestones, and deliverablesOversee project turnover and closeout activitiesEnsure completion of punch-list items, final documentation, warranties, and as-built recordsConduct project reviews to identify lessons learned and continuous improvement opportunitiesComplete final financial reconciliation and project performance reportingSkillsMinimum 5 years of project management experience in industrial construction, maintenance, fabrication, welding, mechanical contracting, power generation, or related industriesDemonstrated experience managing projects from initiation through closeoutProven experience in: Proposal writing and development, Project estimating, Cost control and forecasting, Contract administration, Project scheduling, Client relationship managementStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project execution strategiesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management softwareCandidates with hands-on trade experience are strongly preferredExperience in one or more of the following trades is highly desirable: Pipefitter, Boilermaker, Welder, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Millwright, Industrial Construction CraftsmanCompany OverviewWe are a full-service maintenance and capital construction partner supporting power generation, defense, and industrial sectors across the country.
