[Remote] Project Finance Manager

Brightsmith is focused on renewable energy projects and is seeking a Manager, Project Finance to support financing strategies for utility-scale projects. This role involves project financing, financial analysis, and coordination with lenders and investors to ensure successful transaction execution.ResponsibilitiesSupport all aspects of project-level financing including debt, tax equity, and sponsor equityDevelop pro formas for solar and storage projects with accompanying assumption support and document reviewReview financial models to analyze project feasibility and profitability, including go/no-go recommendations for projects with supporting analysisAssist in preparing due diligence materials, offering materials for debt and equity transactions, and documentation of structured or project finance transactionsPrepare analyses and recommendations for monthly and quarterly investment reviewsSupport interactions with lenders and investors throughout transaction processesPrepare analysis and resulting reports to support business operations and strategic initiativesAssist with negotiating financing terms and documentation with banks, investors, and legal counselMonitor market trends and maintain relationships with financial institutions and capital providersSupport M&A activities and strategic financial planning for the renewable energy portfolioCollaborate cross-functionally with development, engineering, legal, and finance teamsSupport project timelines and transaction deliverables across multiple active projectsOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Energy, or related field5–8+ years of experience in project finance, capital markets, tax equity, investment banking, or related areasExperience supporting financing transactions and managing lender/investor relationshipsStrong financial modeling and analytical skillsStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesExperience within the renewable energy industry, including solar and storage preferredExperience supporting strategic transactions, acquisitions, or portfolio planning is a plusCompany OverviewBrightsmith was founded in London in 2019 by Tommy Bright, Jenny Gladman, and Adam Smith, three people united by a clear mission: to play an active role in building a cleaner, more sustainable world for their children.
