[Remote] Project Engineer II

The Project Engineer II (Mechanical) is responsible for executing mechanical design work packages for automation and material handling system integration projects, ensuring designs meet system requirements and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers for successful project delivery.ResponsibilitiesYou will lead the design and release of mechanical assemblies, layouts, and BOMs within larger system projectsYou will ensure mechanical designs align with system-level requirements, manufacturability, and cost targetsYou will perform calculations, tolerance analysis, and design reviews to guarantee reliability of equipmentYou will collaborate with controls, electrical, and software teams to align system integrationYou will support FAT, SAT, and commissioning through hands-on troubleshooting and validationYou will interface with suppliers, offshore teams, and manufacturing to ensure designs are built and installed successfullyYou will provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and feedback on future system designsYou will travel up 30% to support customer integration projectsSkillsYou have obtained a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related fieldYou have gained 2–5 years of mechanical design experience in automation, capital equipment, or material handlingYou have proven ability to deliver mechanical designs that integrate into complex systems on time and to scopeYou are proficient in 3D CAD modeling and mechanical documentation (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks)You are comfortable working on-site to validate and integrate designs in live system environmentsYou know materials, fabrication methods, and GD&TYou can independently execute mechanical design tasks within multi-disciplinary projectsYou have strong communication skills for cross-functional and customer-facing collaborationEligible applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
