[Remote] Project Engineer

They are seeking a Project Engineer who will be a key member of the Operations organization, working closely with Sales and Fulfillment teams to design and deliver competitive refrigeration systems solutions that meet customer needs.ResponsibilitiesWork with the Sales and Project Development teams to determine appropriate concepts, designs and offerings for the customer’s needsProvide engineering analysis of refrigeration systems and present recommendationsDevelop refrigeration system designs, using industry experience to provide solutions best suited for the applicationPrepare load and sizing calculations, specify and select equipment, components and materialsDirect sourcing efforts and approve alternate suppliers when appropriateWork with Sales and Project Developers in the estimation of project costsPrepare engineering specifications and provide direction to the drafting staff in the preparation of project drawingsLead drafting personnel in the development of plans and standardsManage revisions of drawings and issue plans per project schedulesProvide engineering support to construction and service technicians as necessaryBoth domestic and international travel may be required. Estimated travel is 15%SkillsBachelor's Degree in EngineeringAt least 5-7 years of engineering or field experience is requiredExpert understanding of Refrigeration systems including heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow, airflow, mechanical design, and controlsExcellent analytical, mathematical, project management and problem-solving skillsStrong computer skills, with a working ability in CAD, Project, Excel, and other systemsAbility to quickly and efficiently understand and organize information necessary to make engineering decisionsAbility to make progress by completing tasks and deliverables in a multi-tasking environment (several concurrent assignments) on timeExcellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate up, down, and across the organizationRefrigeration experience strongly preferredProfessional Engineering license is a plusBenefitsCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programsCompany OverviewTrane Technologies develops energy efficient indoor environments for commercial and residential applications.
