They are seeking a Project Electrical Engineer IV to provide technical leadership for the design and delivery of complex projects, including mission-critical facilities, while collaborating with various stakeholders to develop high-performing electrical infrastructure solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead electrical engineering efforts for multiple active projects through planning, design, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration phasesCoordinate electrical systems design with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders to achieve integrated project solutionsServe as the primary technical liaison for clients regarding electrical infrastructure, power distribution, resiliency, and project objectivesPerform technical reviews of electrical engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure quality, constructability, maintainability, and code complianceSupport project planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality management activitiesConduct field observations, jobsite visits, and construction meetings to verify installation quality and support issue resolutionMentor engineering staff and contribute to technical development, quality improvement, and knowledge-sharing initiativesSupport the implementation and verification of cyber-informed design principles and operational technology security requirements for critical infrastructure projectsApply and interpret NIST SP 800-82 guidance and industry best practices when evaluating operational technology systems supporting electrical and MEP infrastructureCoordinate with clients, facility operators, technology consultants, and engineering teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with connected building systems and operational technology networksLead workshops and technical discussions related to facility resiliency, operational continuity, and cyber-informed design strategiesTrack and document compliance status, risk assessments, and recommendations through project reports and owner updatesSkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredMinimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in electrical engineering design, project delivery, and construction administrationDemonstrated experience leading engineering efforts for large and complex facilities, including healthcare, commercial, science and technology, higher education, industrial, or mission-critical projectsAbility to independently review electrical and multidisciplinary engineering designs with minimal supervisionAbility to oversee, mentor, and provide technical leadership to engineering staff and project teamsStrong understanding of electrical infrastructure systems, power distribution, emergency power, and facility resiliency conceptsExperience coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors throughout all phases of project deliveryStrong communication, project management, and client relationship skillsFamiliarity with operational technology systems, cyber-informed design principles, NIST SP 800-82, or critical infrastructure security considerations preferredBenefitsDiscretionary bonusesA full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurancesPaid time offFlex-time schedulesRemote work options401k planEmployee perk programsCompany OverviewCannonDesign is an integrated designing firm.
