[Remote] Project Director - Aviation

Metric Geo is seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Aviation to lead and grow their aviation portfolio across the U.S. In this leadership position, you will oversee large-scale airport construction projects while driving excellence in delivery, safety, schedule, and cost performance. Responsibilities • Provide executive leadership and oversight for aviation construction programs, from pre-construction through execution and close-out. • Own project delivery performance (schedule, budget, quality, safety) across multiple airports. • Drive continuous improvement of delivery techniques and methodologies tailored to the aviation sector (terminals / concourses / aprons / roadway & utility infrastructure). • Lead & support business development efforts including proposal strategy, client engagement, bidding, risk assessment and contract negotiations. • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards in high-security, high-traffic airport environments. • Coordinate with internal teams (project management, engineering, procurement, construction operations) and external stakeholders (airport authorities, local governments, tenants, airlines). • Mentor and develop aviation-project leadership team across the business. • Monitor market and industry trends in aviation infrastructure to inform strategic growth. Skills • Extensive experience in aviation / airport construction, including terminals, concourses, apron or related infrastructure. • Proven track record of delivering large-scale aviation projects on time and within budget in live airport environments. • Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams across dispersed geographies. • Strong business development acumen with experience in proposals, client relationships, and strategy. • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project locations nationally. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus. • Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
