[Remote] Project Development Manager

They are seeking a highly skilled Project Development Manager to support the development of photovoltaic, hybrid, and battery storage projects across the United States, guiding projects from origination to construction and financing.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Project Origination: Assist in the identification and acquisition of high-potential energy sites, interconnection positions, and project in order to build a robust project pipelineSite Development & Due Diligence: Assist in site evaluations, feasibility assessments, and risk mitigation strategies to eliminate fatal flaws early in developmentPermitting & Stakeholder Engagement: Determine and execute the permitting plan of development, establishing strong relationships with local stakeholders, regulatory authorities and key decision-makersInterconnection Strategy: Assist the Transmission and Interconnection Team to determine optimal points of interconnection and feasibility, securing necessary easements and grid accessMarket Expertise & Compliance: Work in partnership with the Commercial Execution Team to maintain comprehensive knowledge of solar development rules, legislation, tax guidelines, and interconnection protocols specific to assigned development territoriesFinancial Leadership: Collaborate on project financial modeling to achieve realistic and competitive financial outcomesIndustry Representation: Serve as a thought leader and expert representative at local trade events and industry forumsCompetitive Intelligence: Assist in the development of insights into market trends and competitor activities to maintain a strategic advantageVendor & Partner Management: Establish relationships with third-party service providers, including consulting engineers and legislative consultantsReporting: Prepare and present project status reports and presentations to senior management; Track and report on project performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)Skills3-5+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector related to project development, engineering, permitting, real estate or other relevant functionsBachelor's degree in related fieldProven experience in project management and project executionStrategic understanding and knowledge of the development of solar, storage, and hybrid energy projects requiredExperience working with landowners, permitting agencies, utilities, consultants, and community stakeholdersProven track record of managing and executing complex projects to successful completionDemonstrated ability to negotiate critical contracts and navigate regulatory environmentsPosition will be remote with regular travel at approximately 50%Position will report directly to a Regional Development DirectorFamiliarity with NYISO, PJM, SERC, CAISO, or SPP markets preferredCompany OverviewEmeren Group Ltd is a leading global solar project developer and operator, with local professional teams in more than 10 countries around the world.
