[Remote] Project Designer

Cushman & Wakefield is a leading commercial real estate services firm, and they are seeking a Project Designer to develop documents, drawings, and diagrams for client projects. The role involves formulating space plans, selecting materials, and coordinating with other design professionals to ensure project goals are met.ResponsibilitiesFormulate preliminary space plans and sketches that integrate the client’s needsConfirm preliminary space plans and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and meet all public health, safety and welfare requirementsDetermine selection of colors, materials and finishes to appropriately convey the concept and to meet socio-psychological, functional, maintenance, lifecycle performance, environmental, and safety requirementsEstablish selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment and millwork, including layout drawings and detailed product description; and provision of contract documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement and installation of furnitureCoordinate and collaborate with other allied design professionals who may be retained to provide consulting servicesConfirm construction documents for non-structural and/or non-seismic construction are signed and sealed by the responsible interior designer, as applicable to jurisdictional requirements for filing with code enforcement officialsAssist with administration of contract documents, bids and negotiations as the client’s agentProvide reporting on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completionSkillsAt least two (2) years of design experience within the commercial real estate industrySpace planning experience using RevitExcellent time management, communication, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, in addition to the ability to work independentlySkills coordinating Audio Visual and other specialty consultantsBachelor's degree from a CIDA accredited institution in a related discipline or field of study (i.e. Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Project or Construction Management, etc.) requiredBachelor's degree in Other Major than above plus Interior Design Certification, Degree or DiplomaBenefitsHealth, vision, and dental insuranceFlexible spending accountsHealth savings accountsRetirement savings plansLife, and disability insurance programsPaid and unpaid time away from workCompetitive pay, which may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and applicability of collective bargaining agreementsCompany OverviewCushman & Wakefield is a real estate services firm that offers retail investment, energy management, and property services.
