[Remote] Program Manager – Interoperability

Aptive Resources LLC is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager, Interoperability to support the Veteran Health Administration (VHA) Office of Health Informatics and Office of Clinical Informatics. This role involves managing interoperability-focused informatics efforts, ensuring alignment with national interoperability standards, and overseeing program management for various health information exchange initiatives.ResponsibilitiesProvide end-to-end program management for interoperability call orders and features aligned to management operational informatics pipeline and clinical operational informatics pipeline requirementsLead delivery of eHealth Exchange program and product management, including partner onboarding, membership access, analytics, policy coordination, and performance monitoringOversee implementation and sustainment of ADT/eNotifications capabilities and adoption support for VA medical centersManage interoperability activities supporting VA/DoD shared health records, CHDR evaluation, JLV enablement, and interagency exchange use casesEnsure interoperability solutions align with HL7®, FHIR®, CDA®, SNOMED CT®, LOINC®, and other national interoperability standards as applicableCoordinate with Integration and Clinical Informatics Solutions teams to ensure interoperability features integrate with enterprise data pipelines, dashboards, and clinical workflowsMaintain program risk registers, dependency logs, and mitigation plans; report progress using program required flow efficiency, capacity allocation, value delivered, and next-iteration planningEnsure deliverables meet acceptance criteria and VA security, privacy, and data governance requirementsSkillsMaster's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience managing healthcare IT or interoperability programsDemonstrated experience managing health information exchange (HIE) or standards-based interoperability initiativesExperience delivering work in SAFe® or Agile environments using Jira/Jira AlignDemonstrated understanding of VA healthcare technology development and sustainment programs (e.g. ServiceNow, Federal EHR) and VA IT and data platforms (e.g. Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW), VistA/CPRS)Familiarity with eHealth Exchange, VHIE, JLV, or interagency data-sharing initiativesExperience supporting VA, DoD, or other federal health interoperability programsCompany OverviewAptive Resources is a management consulting firm focused on human experience, digital services and business transformation.
