[Remote] Program Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SSP International, Inc. (SSPI) is a non-profit organization focused on excellence in science education. The Program Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives within the STEM Learning Institute, managing curriculum development and educator professional learning to ensure high-quality implementation.ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day management of STEM Learning Institute program operations across multiple workstreams, including curriculum development, professional learning, coaching, and field testingDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and workflows to ensure alignment with program goals and milestonesPartner with the Director to translate strategic priorities into actionable plansLead the planning and execution of in-person and virtual professional learning experiences, ensuring high-quality participant experiences aligned with program goalsOversee logistics including registration, travel, materials, and technology, while also shaping agendas, flow, and participant engagementCoordinate across internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of events and follow-through on next stepsServe as a central point of coordination across program staff, collaborators (e.g., BSCS), and participating schools and districtsFacilitate effective communication, alignment, and accountability across teams and partnersLead regular check-ins and ensure clarity around roles, responsibilities, and deliverablesEstablish and maintain systems for tracking deliverables, timelines, and documentation across initiativesSupport development of reports and presentationsMonitor program budgets, track expenses, process teacher stipends and reimbursements, and ensure alignment with financial expectationsSupport operational planning and resource allocation across program activitiesUtilize project management tools to drive transparency, accountability, and executionCoordinate implementation logistics for data collection efforts, including survey administration and communication with participating educatorsEnsure alignment between program implementation and research/evaluation needsSkillsBachelor's degree in education, project management, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience managing projects, programs, or operations with increasing responsibilityDemonstrated ability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholdersStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience using project management tools and systems to drive executionSelf-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a fully remote environment, effectively managing time, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines while staying responsive and communicativeDemonstrates commitment to SSPI's Mission and Values in their daily work and interactionsAuthorization to work in the United StatesBackground clearanceExperience working with K–12 educators, school systems, or educational nonprofitsFamiliarity with STEM education and/or teacher professional learningExperience leading events, workshops, or professional learning experiencesComfort working with data, reporting, and continuous improvement processesCompany OverviewSSP International's Summer Science Program provides transformative experiences in experimental science research for exceptional rising juniors and seniors in high school across various college campuses.
