[Remote] Program Manager

They are seeking a Program Manager to lead a complex public health data management and analytics support program for the CDC, providing leadership, strategic direction, and customer engagement for a multidisciplinary team.ResponsibilitiesProvide overall program leadership and management for a multi-disciplinary team of program managers, public health advisors, data managers, analysts, statisticians, developers, and subject matter expertsServe as the primary point of contact for CDC leadership, CORs, technical leads, and other stakeholdersLead planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of contract activities across multiple projects, studies, and task areasManage program scope, schedule, staffing, quality, risk, and customer satisfactionOversee transition-in, onboarding, knowledge transfer, staffing readiness, and transition-out activitiesEnsure effective coordination across multiple CDC branches, offices, contractors, and external partnersDevelop and maintain project management plans, staffing plans, risk registers, status reports, and performance metricsProvide oversight of subcontractor performance and integrationLead recruitment, retention, workforce planning, succession planning, and staffing continuity effortsFacilitate communication among Government stakeholders, technical teams, and program staffSupport quality assurance processes to ensure timely and acceptable delivery of contract requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, program performance, and customer outcomesMonitor emerging public health data management, analytics, and modernization trends and guide the team in applying appropriate solutionsSupport contract growth, strategic planning, and future business opportunitiesSkillsBachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Business Administration, Information Systems, Management, or related field15+ years of progressively responsible experience managing complex Federal health, public health, scientific, research, data management, analytics, informatics, or information technology programsExperience managing large multidisciplinary teams supporting Federal agenciesExperience serving as primary customer interface for senior Government stakeholdersDemonstrated experience managing scope, schedule, staffing, quality, risk, and budget performanceExperience overseeing multiple simultaneous projects, stakeholders, and deliverablesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience developing strategic plans, operational plans, management reports, and executive briefingsExperience leading transition planning, onboarding, staffing continuity, and workforce management activitiesPMP certification or equivalent program/project management experienceExperience supporting CDC, HHS, or other Federal public health agenciesExperience managing public health surveillance, research, evaluation, data management, informatics, analytics, or scientific support programsExperience supporting infectious disease, HIV, viral hepatitis, STD, tuberculosis, chronic disease, injury prevention, or other public health prevention programsExperience managing CDC cooperative agreements, grants, technical assistance programs, or public health program implementation activitiesFamiliarity with CDC data modernization, data governance, interoperability, and enterprise data initiativesWorking knowledge of public health data systems, data lifecycle management, and data quality practicesFamiliarity with statistical and analytic tools commonly used in public health environments, such as SAS, R, Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, REDCap, and SharePointAbility to effectively oversee technical teams supporting cloud, data engineering, analytics, visualization, and modernization initiatives, including environments utilizing Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and related technologiesExperience supporting Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC), Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), Agile, DevSecOps, or similar project delivery frameworksFamiliarity with CDC surveillance systems, research studies, data dissemination, and technical assistance environmentsExperience managing geographically dispersed and hybrid workforcesMaster's degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Administration (MHA), Public Administration (MPA), Business Administration (MBA), or related disciplineBenefitsCompetitive compensationHealth and Wellness programsIncome ProtectionPaid LeaveRetirementCompany OverviewLeidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers with smarter, more efficient digital and mission innovations.
