[Remote] Professional Services Software Engineer

The Professional Services Integrations and Customizations (PSIC) Software Engineer is responsible for creating customized solutions that integrate 8x8’s hosted UCaaS, CCaaS, CPaaS, and AI/ML solutions with customers’ applications. This role involves direct client interaction to implement configurations and integrations based on project requirements.ResponsibilitiesCollect project requirements from customers through remote interviewsImplement customized solutions and services based on the SOW utilizing 8x8 products, APIs, and 3rd-party software development tools as requiredDesign and prototyping software development projects as required and be responsible for the quality of work producedManage the customer’s deployment of 8x8 services and solutions as specified in the SOWPresent 8x8 services and customized solutions to customers, including executives and end-usersMeet or exceed P&L goals for professional servicesConfiguring systems that we have in 8x8, integration with scripting in PHP and PythonSkillsFluent in English (written and oral communication skills)Bachelor's Degree in the technology areaProficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PHP, and JavaScriptStrong API background, Rest API knowledge, integration with 3rd-party systemsRelational databases experienceUnderstanding of Cloud platforms and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)Understanding of Web application architectureExperience with conversational AI/ML technologies and natural language processingProfessional communication skills, as you will engage directly with customersJava knowledge is a plusExperience in Contact Center, VoIP, and Video meeting applications is a plusBenefitsCertain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock.Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.Company Overview8x8 offers secure and reliable cloud-based, enterprise-class business phone systems, unified communications, and contact center solutions.
