About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding global manufacturing enterprise, is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Remote Production Scheduler to manage and optimize production timelines from the convenience of their home office. This fully remote position requires an individual with exceptional planning capabilities, a strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, and the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams across different time zones. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills, ensuring seamless execution of production schedules to meet demand and efficiency targets. This role is critical in maintaining our client's commitment to timely delivery and operational efficiency, enabling them to serve their international customer base effectively. We are looking for someone who thrives in a remote-first environment and can independently manage their workload while contributing to the overall success of the production department.
Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and update detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability. Coordinate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and logistics departments to ensure alignment and timely execution of production plans. Monitor production progress against schedules, identify potential delays or bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions. Generate production reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights for continuous improvement. Communicate schedule changes, potential issues, and updates effectively to all relevant stakeholders. Utilize production planning software and ERP systems to manage scheduling data and optimize resource allocation. Collaborate with management to establish realistic production targets and capacity planning. Ensure efficient sequencing of jobs to maximize throughput and minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of production orders and scheduling adjustments. Participate in regular remote team meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and upcoming priorities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations within a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to develop and manage complex production schedules. Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and production planning software. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills, comfortable collaborating remotely. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote setting. Experience in demand forecasting and inventory management is a plus. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is advantageous. Benefits
