Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a hands-on Product Owner/Manager with experience in the residential homebuilding industry to lead the development of a SaaS platform tailored for home builders. The role involves managing product execution, collaborating with customers, and enhancing product features to address real-world challenges in homebuilding operations.ResponsibilitiesDrive product adoption, customer engagement, and market growth within the residential homebuilding industryPartner directly with home builders, construction managers, purchasing teams, and business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for product enhancementGather customer feedback and transform builder needs into actionable product requirements and roadmap initiativesDevelop and execute product initiatives tied to measurable business outcomes, customer retention, and utilization metricsOwn the product suite end-to-end, including backlog management, sprint planning, release planning, and roadmap executionServe as the primary voice of the customer, ensuring product decisions align with builder workflows and industry best practicesPrioritize features and enhancements based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibilityCollaborate with Product Leadership to align tactical execution with long-term product strategyLead release planning and communicate delivery expectations to internal stakeholders and customersDevelop a deep understanding of residential homebuilding operations, including:Construction schedulingPurchasing and procurementJob costingChange ordersVendor and subcontractor managementAccounting and financial processesProduction and field operationsWork directly with builders to understand how information flows from sales through construction and accounting systemsIdentify opportunities to streamline builder processes through automation, workflow improvements, and technology enhancementsEnsure product functionality aligns with the operational realities of residential construction businessesManage day-to-day execution of a major modernization initiative, transitioning the platform from a legacy ColdFusion application to a modern browser-based solution utilizing .NET web services and BlazorBalance support and enhancement of the existing platform while guiding development of the next-generation solutionPartner closely with development, QA, and business teams to ensure successful delivery of modernization milestonesLead and mentor a growing Agile product team consisting of Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and Software DevelopersRemove obstacles impacting team productivity and successful sprint deliveryFoster accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvementHelp establish product management best practices, standards, and processesChampion AI initiatives across both the product and the teamIdentify opportunities to deliver meaningful AI-powered capabilities that simplify builder workflows and improve operational efficiencyUtilize AI tools and automation to accelerate research, planning, product delivery, and decision-makingCollaborate with leadership and development teams to prioritize and deliver AI-enabled product featuresSkills5+ years of Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar product leadership experience within a B2B SaaS environmentDirect experience within the residential homebuilding, construction, construction technology, or building products industryStrong understanding of homebuilder business processes, construction operations, and workflow managementExperience working with software platforms that support residential construction, project management, purchasing, accounting, scheduling, estimating, or ERP functionsDemonstrated ability to work directly with builders, construction professionals, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and drive product decisionsStrong understanding of transaction-based business systems and workflow processesExperience managing Agile product backlogs, sprint planning, and release planningExperience leading or working closely with software development teamsStrong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to drive user adoption, customer engagement, and business outcomesAI-first mindset with demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and product deliveryExperience working for a homebuilder, construction technology company, ERP provider, or software platform serving the residential construction industryFamiliarity with homebuilding software platforms, construction management systems, or builder ERP solutionsExperience supporting integrations with Sage Intacct, Sage 300, QuickBooks Desktop, or QuickBooks OnlineExperience with .NET, Blazor, SaaS modernization initiatives, or legacy application transformation projectsExperience with AWS and cloud-hosted application environmentsExperience delivering AI/ML-powered features such as chatbots, predictive analytics, recommendation engines, or generative AI solutionsBachelor's degree in Business, Construction
