They are seeking a Product Manager for the Revenue Resources team to develop complex restricted product offerings and ensure compliance management across the organization.ResponsibilitiesPartner with advancement, program, and finance teams to develop complex restricted product offerings and secure organizational approval for external useEnsure complex restricted product offerings match programmatic priorities and align with funding needsPartner with advancement teams to identify philanthropic themes, such as women’s empowerment and climate change, and partner with program teams to identify nexus with IJM’s work to develop specialized complex restricted gift opportunitiesServe as a consulting partner with advancement teams to vet funding opportunities and to assess if there is a pre-approved product offering that might be a good fit or if a custom offering is neededPartner with the Product Specialist roles and the global marketing team to package the complex restricted offeringsEnsure that all parties—advancement, programs, and finance—are aligned on the general direction of complex restricted products and each specific offeringDevelop system for advancement teams to leverage complex restricted product offerings while not pitching the same opportunity to multiple prospective investorsManage a portfolio of complex restricted giftsInterpret donor agreements and restrictions to ensure proper implementation, tracking, and fund usageIn collaboration with Global Finance and regional teams, monitor expenditures and balances to confirm alignment with donor intent, institutional policy and regulatory standardsIn collaboration with Global Finance and regional teams, identify, research and resolve compliance issues related to restricted funds, including under- or over-spending, lapsed restrictions, or ambiguous donor termsFacilitate detailed financial and impact reports for donors, leadership and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity, in partnership with Product Development SpecialistsSupport donor stewardship efforts by translating financial activity into donor-ready narratives and summariesRespond to donor inquiries regarding fund performance, balances, and the use of restricted contributionsSupport Relationship Owners in early identification, screening and verification when donor opportunities present possible complex restrictionsServe as a liaison between Relationship Owners and key regional, Global Finance and program staff in confirming alignment with program plans and budgets and in completing timely documentation of key information needed for the go/no go decision-making processPartner closely with Fundraising, Finance, Legal, Grants, Resources and Program teams to ensure consistent interpretation and execution of gift restrictionsProvide subject-matter expertise on restricted gift administration during gift acceptance, agreement drafting, and post-award implementationSupport internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries related to restricted contributionsMaintain accurate records of restricted gifts within financial, donor and grant management systemsDevelop and refine internal controls, procedures and best practices related to restricted gift managementIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting and compliance through process enhancements or system improvementsServe as a resource to internal teams on restricted gift policy, compliance requirements and best practicesAssist in developing training materials or guidance related to restricted gift administration and donor complianceSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field5-7+ years of experience in fundraising, grant management, restricted fund accounting, gift administration, or a related roleStrong understanding of fundraising and donor cultivationExperience in higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit organizations with complex gift portfoliosStrong understanding of donor restrictions, fund accounting, and financial reporting principlesDemonstrated ability to interpret complex legal or donor agreements and translate them into operational requirementsHigh level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiencesDonor intent and compliance stewardshipFinancial and regulatory reportingProcess
