The role is focused on optimizing core practice management systems and front-end revenue workflows, requiring a technically fluent product manager to drive system improvements and enhance operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesPractice Management System OptimizationServe as the product lead for scheduling, registration, eligibility, and checkout workflowsImprove system configurations (visit types, templates, payer rules, permissions, workflows)Identify root causes of workflow friction and propose technical or configuration-based solutionsPartner with vendors and engineering teams to implement enhancementsRedesign front-end workflows to reduce manual work and improve clinic throughputAlign system configuration with operational best practicesEliminate duplicate data entry and reworkBalance operational needs with scalable enterprise standardsUnderstand and document data flow between PMS, RCM, BI, and engagement platformsWork directly with vendors to troubleshoot integration or configuration issuesInterpret API documentation and system behaviors when diagnosing issuesSupport system enhancements involving integrations, automation, or workflow logicIdentify opportunities to automate manual processesSupport evaluation and implementation of AI or digital workflow enhancementsPrioritize practical, ROI-driven improvements over experimental initiativesPartner with BI to track key operational metrics (throughput, utilization, eligibility accuracy, POS collections, workflow rework)Use performance data to prioritize roadmap decisionsMeasure and report ROI of implemented changesSkills5–8 years of experience in product management, healthcare technology, or system implementationPreviously written production-level code (earlier in career acceptable), OR led complex technical implementations involving system configuration and integrationsUnderstands how software is built and deployed, even if not actively coding todayComfortable reading API documentation and mapping data flowsDemonstrates strong ownership and does not wait for direction to drive resolutionThinks beyond individual clinic problems and prioritizes scalable enterprise solutionsBachelor's degree required; healthcare or technical background preferredExperience configuring or implementing PMS/EMR systemsFamiliarity with integration concepts (APIs, webhooks, data mapping)Experience collaborating closely with engineering teamsStrong analytical skills and comfort working with operational dataDemonstrated bias toward diagnosing root causes rather than escalating issuesBenefitsPerformance-based bonus tied to operational and revenue impactThis is a remote position.Company-owned locations provide a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, matching 401(k), and more.Company OverviewAmerican Family Care is a medical practice offering occupational health services.
