This role is responsible for driving the discovery, development, and delivery of internal data and system capabilities that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions, working closely with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities and define product solutions.ResponsibilitiesSupport discovery efforts to identify problems related to data, reporting, and decision-making workflows across internal stakeholder groupsGather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs (e.g., stakeholder feedback, system data, operational metrics) to help inform product opportunitiesAssist in identifying patterns, pain points, and areas of opportunity across systems and workflowsContribute insights to support prioritization and roadmap discussions. Support validation of potential solutions through data analysis and stakeholder feedbackSupport backlog management for internal data and system initiatives, ensuring work items are clearly documented, organized, and up to dateGather and synthesize inputs required for prioritization, including business value, stakeholder needs, effort, dependencies, and risksHelp ensure backlog items are well-defined with clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and success metricsSupport prioritization processes by preparing materials, surfacing trade-offs, and maintaining visibility into competing requestsTrack and communicate changes in priorities, helping maintain alignment across stakeholders and reduce confusion or reworkSupport execution of product initiatives in partnership with Engineering, Data, Analytics, and Business Systems teamsAssist in translating business needs into user stories, workflows, and requirements documentationTrack progress, risks, and dependencies across initiatives, ensuring work stays aligned and on trackProactively surface blockers, gaps, or risks, and escalate as needed to support timely resolutionSupport testing, validation, and rollout of new capabilities to ensure solutions meet defined requirementsLead discovery efforts to identify high-impact problems related to data, reporting, and decision-making workflows across internal stakeholder groupsGather and synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs (stakeholder feedback, system data, operational metrics) to inform product opportunities and prioritiesShape product direction in partnership with the Group Manager, including opportunity sizing, defining success metrics, and aligning to organizational goalsIdentify opportunities to improve data accessibility, workflow efficiency, and decision-making through the application of automation and AI-enabled solutionsDevelop recommendations and business cases to support prioritization and roadmap decisionsDrive the evolution of product management processes in a rapidly developing environment, including discovery, intake, and prioritization practicesOwn backlog management for internal data and system initiatives and contribute to the evolution of intake processes, supporting scalable and effective ways of workingEvaluate incoming requests and opportunities based on business value, feasibility, dependencies, and alignment to organizational prioritiesEnsure backlog items are clearly defined with requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomesMake prioritization recommendations and surface trade-offs, aligning with the Group Manager on higher-impact or cross-functional decisionsCommunicate priorities, trade-offs, and roadmap updates for assigned initiatives or product areas to ensure transparency and alignmentSkills1–3 years of experience in a product, operations, analytics, or related role involving cross-functional collaboration and problem-solvingDemonstrated ability to support execution of cross-functional initiatives, managing multiple workstreams and deadlines effectivelyStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to structure and manage complex informationAbility to gather, synthesize, and clearly communicate insights from qualitative and quantitative inputsComfort working with data to inform decisions (e.g., experience with analytics tools, basic SQL, or similar)Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and incorporate diverse inputs into problem-solvingDemonstrated ability or interest in understanding how systems, data, and workflows connect across an organizationComfort operating in ambiguous environments, with a willingness to take initiative and learnStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for different audiencesExperience in applying AI, automation, or advanced analytics to improve workflows and decision-makingBachelor's Degree3 years' experience designing and building new products or internal systems, and enhancing existing capabilities2 years' product management or related experience (e.g., business analysis, data product, systems product)Demonstrated ability to contribute to product strategy and independently drive execution from discovery through deliveryExperience working with data systems, analytics platforms, or internal tools, translating business needs into technical solutionsComfort collaborating closely with engineering and data teams, including scoping, estimation, testing, and validationExperience applying AI, automation, or advanced analytics to improve workflows, decision-making, or operational efficiencyStrong systems thinking, with the ability to understand dependencies across tools, data pipelines, and workflowsExperience operating in ambiguous or evolving environments, helping define processes such as intake, prioritization, or product operationsStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and drive alignment across cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ability to influence and deliver outcomes without direct authorityStrong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiencesExperience demonstrating high ownership mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on executionExperience working on internal-facing products, data platforms, or enterprise systemsFamiliarity with data warehouses, data pipelines, or modern analytics tooling (e.g., BI tools, semantic layers)Working knowledge of SQL or experience querying and validating dataExperience applying data, analytics, or automation to improve business processes or decision-makingExperience working within CRM, marketing, financial, or operational systems ecosystemsExperience in education, EdTech, publishing, or other multi-stakeholder
