[Remote] Product Engineer

The Product Engineer will build and scale backend systems and data pipelines to support healthcare claims and operational workflows while collaborating with various teams to translate complex workflows into robust technical systems.ResponsibilitiesBuild and scale backend systems and data pipelines that support healthcare claims, payments, and operational workflowsDesign automation systems for provider notifications, support workflows, and internal operational toolingDevelop scalable APIs and infrastructure that improve reliability and operational efficiency across healthcare systemsCollaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, and business teams to translate complex workflows into robust technical systemsRapidly prototype solutions and evolve them into maintainable, production-grade systemsHelp define the long-term architecture and evolution of the company’s data platformWork directly on systems that impact providers, patients, and internal operational teams in real-world healthcare environmentsContribute to technical design discussions, backend architecture decisions, and engineering best practicesSkills5+ years of professional software engineering experience (4+ years for exceptional candidates)Strong Python backend engineering experience with production systems ownershipExperience designing and maintaining ETL workflows, data pipelines, or scalable backend systemsStrong systems thinking and ability to work through ambiguity in complex domainsClear communicator capable of explaining technical tradeoffs and business impactComfortable working closely with operational and non-technical stakeholdersInterest in healthcare and willingness to navigate regulated, operationally complex environmentsStartup experience, particularly within early-stage or high-growth environmentsExperience with Flask, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQLExposure to healthcare systems, claims infrastructure, EHR integrations, or healthcare vendor toolingExperience working with large, messy, or operationally sensitive datasetsFamiliarity with AI-assisted workflows or intelligent automation systemsBenefitsEquity / stock options includedFully remote U.S.-based role with high autonomy and ownershipFlexible / unlimited PTOMultiple annual company onsite events and team gatheringsCompany OverviewA recruiting agency working with technology companies to help them hire software engineers, data roles, product managers, and hardware.
