[Remote] Product Designer

They are seeking a Product Designer to create intuitive and accessible digital experiences for both credit unions and their members, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the design process.ResponsibilitiesDesign intuitive, accessible experiences across mobile applications (iOS and Android), responsive web platforms, and internal administrative toolsCreate user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that communicate design intent clearlyEnsure consistency across experiences through thoughtful application of design patterns and system componentsAdvocate for usability, accessibility, and user-centered design throughout the product lifecyclePlan and conduct user interviews, usability testing sessions, and other research activities with credit union staff and membersSynthesize research findings into actionable recommendations that influence product directionCreate and maintain personas, journey maps, research summaries, and other artifacts that help teams understand user needsApply behavioral design and psychology principles to improve usability, trust, and engagementPartner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams throughout the design and development processTranslate user needs and business objectives into clear design requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteriaParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies, including planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectivesSupport design-to-development handoff and collaborate with engineering to ensure high-quality implementationContribute to the growth and maintenance of Sharetec's design system, including reusable components, patterns, and documentationPromote design consistency and efficiency across products and teamsStay current on emerging design trends, tools, accessibility standards, and industry best practicesContinuously seek opportunities to improve both the user experience and the design processSkills2+ years of professional product design, UX design, or UI design experienceA portfolio demonstrating your design process and contributions to shipped digital productsExperience designing digital experiences for web and/or mobile applicationsStrong proficiency with Figma, including components, auto layout, variants, and prototypingExperience conducting and synthesizing user researchAbility to communicate design decisions effectively through documentation, presentations, and written requirementsExperience collaborating with product and engineering teams in an Agile environmentUnderstanding of responsive and adaptive design principles across a variety of devices and screen sizesStrong interaction design and visual design skills, including accessibility best practicesBachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceExperience designing financial services, fintech, banking, or other regulated software productsExperience building and maintaining design systemsFamiliarity with WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practicesExperience working with tools such as FigJam, Maze, UserTesting, Dovetail, Miro, or similar research and collaboration platformsExperience collaborating in Jira and ConfluenceUnderstanding of design-to-development workflows and design quality assuranceKnowledge of banking, payments, lending, account management, or credit union workflowsBasic understanding of HTML, CSS, or front-end development constraintsBenefitsBonus eligibilityComprehensive benefits package includes competitive salaries, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverageGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid holidays (including your birthday off!)$1,000 employee referral program401(k) with company matchingVirtual eventsCollaborative team experiencesRegular all-hands meetingsCompany OverviewAt Sharetec, we develop web-based core processing and digital solutions for Credit Unions with two goals: make it smarter and keep it simple.
