[Remote] Product Compliance Analyst

They are seeking a Product Compliance Analyst who will oversee state insurance filing activities and ensure products remain compliant with regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesProvide regulatory oversight by reviewing state insurance requirements and assessing their impact on existing productsDraft, review and revise policy forms to ensure compliance with state specific filing and regulatory requirementsPartner with crossâfunctional stakeholders (Business, Legal, Actuarial, Underwriting, Operations, and Claims) to translate regulatory requirements into compliant product solutionsManage the filing to support timely product approvals and minimize regulatory and operational riskServe as a primary point of contact with State Insurance Departments, proactively addressing questions, objections, and conditions to facilitate approvalsEnsure regulatory decisions, approvals, and exemptions are well documented, defensible, and auditableMaintain governance over filing documentation, approvals, and regulatory records to support audit readiness and transparencyEnsure Assurant products and filings are aligned with applicable regulatory frameworks and corporate compliance standardsProvide direction and oversight for the preparation and submission of state compliance filings, ensuring consistency, quality, and regulatory alignmentEvaluate filing obligations and determine when exemptions apply, preparing documented assessments and recommendations for management approvalSupport corporate governance activities, including company registration renewals and annual rate filingsContribute to regulatory risk mitigation efforts by supporting market conduct exams, litigation discovery, audits, and adâhoc regulatory inquiriesEnsure stateâdriven deadlines and regulatory commitments are met to avoid compliance gaps or enforcement exposureOversee preparation and submission of filings through SERFF and alternative channels where required, ensuring completeness and accuracyCoordinate filing fee payments and required certifications to ensure submissions are accepted and processed without delayEnsure internal systems (e.g., OSX and State Filings Systems) accurately reflect filing status, approvals, and distributionsFacilitate timely communication of regulatory approvals and requirements to impacted business and operational teamsSkillsAssociates degree2 years' experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industryParalegal or Insurance designation a plusStrong written, drafting and editing, and grammatical skills, including accuracy and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work with ambiguity and frequently changing prioritiesTime management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize work to accomplish assigned duties by set deadlinesStrong data entry skillsA Working knowledge of insurance terminology and the ability to research industry regulationWillingness to learn new things and take on-the-job training courses or external insurance courses to broaden knowledge and skillsetKnowledge of SERFF and/or experience in submitting State filingsAbility to balance compliance with Business and Company strategies and directivesSupport Assurant goals: think beyond current role and think like a customerMake sound business decisions by gathering data and taking action in a decisive and timely mannerStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal employees, State Regulators and external representatives.
