[Remote] Process Engineer - Water & Wastewater

Skills Alliance is a growing engineering organization in the water and wastewater sector, seeking a Process Engineer to support the design and delivery of municipal treatment projects. This role involves leading process design activities and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesLead process design activities for municipal water and wastewater projectsDevelop and standardize methods for process calculations, including flows, removal rates, and application limitsCreate and review P&IDs, system layouts, and process flow diagramsProvide technical support to project management teams throughout project executionContribute to the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and product designEstablish quality assurance procedures for process design and manufactured componentsDevelop costing models to demonstrate process efficiencies and cost savings versus alternativesDefine safety and operational procedures for process equipmentSupport sales efforts, including client interactions and technical input during proposalsDevelop pilot testing protocols and produce detailed pilot reportsProduce technical documentation, including product specifications and white papersAssist with system commissioning and startup (remote and onsite)Collaborate with cross-functional and remote teamsSkillsBachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)Minimum 5+ years' experience in biological or drinking water process engineeringStrong expertise in highly engineered treatment systemsAdvanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and modellingExperience with BioWin or similar biological process modelling toolsComfortable working with distributed/remote teamsWillingness to travel up to 25%Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data and develop practical solutionsProblem Solving: Proactive, structured approach to technical challengesInfluence: Strong ability to collaborate and drive outcomes without direct authorityInterpersonal Skills: Effective communicator with a collaborative mindsetAdaptability: Comfortable working in ambiguous and evolving environmentsIntegrity & Ethics: Operates with professionalism and accountabilityCollaboration & Inclusion: Promotes a respectful and inclusive work environmentCompany OverviewSkills Alliance is a staffing & consulting agency that mainly recruits life sciences and medical technology professionals.
