[Remote] Pro Bono Practice Immigration Attorney

Responsibilities
ā¢ Conduct consultations with individuals seeking legal advice related to asylum and deportation matters
ā¢ Explain eligibility standards, evidentiary requirements, risks, and timelines in clear language
ā¢ Provide practical recommendations regarding next steps
ā¢ Manage expectations and communicate decisions with professionalism and clarity
ā¢ Provide legal guidance
ā¢ Conduct risk analysis based on current law and agency guidance
ā¢ Make informed decisions regarding case acceptance within the pro bono framework
ā¢ Help establish intake criteria and consultation standards
ā¢ Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure compliance and quality control
ā¢ Support the development of structured workflows for the pro bono practice
Skills
ā¢ Active membership in good standing with the Arizona Bar (required)
ā¢ Minimum 3+ years of experience practicing immigration law, with extensive asylum and deportation experience
ā¢ Demonstrated experience handling or advising on these matters
ā¢ Strong consultation skills and ability to assess cases efficiently and accurately
ā¢ Working knowledge of evidentiary standards, country conditions analysis, and credibility considerations
ā¢ Highly organized and detail-oriented
ā¢ Comfortable working in a remote environment with autonomy
