The Principal Technical Consultant serves as a technical thought leader, leading the development and implementation of client solutions while mentoring team members and driving business growth.ResponsibilitiesEnsure projects are delivered on time, at the highest quality standards while exceeding client expectationsDesign and implement complex, mission-critical transformational enterprise grade technical solutions for clientsBuild and maintain strong client relationships, drive business growth, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-sellingDevelop high quality deliverables and presentations for Client engineering teams and senior leaders, this can include both technical documentation and non-technical documentationCollaborate with clients to understand their technical challenges and develop tailored solutions to address their needsCreate and present solution designs, options, ideas, and innovations to clients’ senior leadership teamsDevelop and maintain Technical Roadmaps and Innovation PlansDevelop and implement CI/CD solutionsEstablish project estimates and plans, identify risks and mitigations, oversee development and delivery of technical solutionsProvide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members, empowering them to grow and excel in their rolesActively lead collaboration within our technical communitiesSkillsExperience and ability to 'jump on a whiteboard' in front of a customer to develop a solution to a business / technology goal or challengeStrong consulting and business acumen10+ years of IT experience and 5+ years of Cloud, DevOps, Automation, Application Modernization, Digital Transformation experienceMultiple certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS DevOps Engineer Pro, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Terraform Associate, EtcHands-on experience designing and implementing Platform core services around Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, Containers, Security, Identity, etcExperience with organizational adoption of transformational initiatives – Platform Engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Transformation, Application ModernizationHands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ARM, CloudFormationExperience with using and managing deployment services such as Harness, GitHub, Ansible, Jenkins, etcKnowledge and usage of branching strategies is requiredHands-on experience in programming with Java, Python or any development languageExcellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of modern cloud-native application design principles, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD PipelinesKnowledge of enterprise organizations across multiple industries and inner IT functions (e.g. Enterprise Architecture, Operations)BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k)Paid company holidaysPaid time offPaid parental and caregiver leavePlus more!Company OverviewAHEAD is a solutions-based company that helps clients move to an optimized IT service delivery model.
