[Remote] Principal Product Manager – Risk & Compliance

This strategic role involves owning the roadmap for compliance and risk-related products, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure regulatory adherence while driving product innovation.ResponsibilitiesThought Leadership: Stay ahead of global regulatory trends and bring innovative compliance solutions to the product roadmapProduct Leadership: Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for risk and compliance products and tools (e.g., transaction monitoring, KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions screening, and fraud prevention)Regulatory Enablement: Translate complex regulatory requirements (FinCEN, Fintrac, OFAC, PSD2, AUSTRAC, etc.) into scalable product features and processesRisk Management: Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to identify key risks and implement systems to detect and mitigate them in real timeCross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Data, Legal, and Operations to deliver compliance-by-design solutionsVendor & Partner Management: Evaluate and manage third-party vendors providing compliance tools or data integrations (e.g., KYC providers, transaction screening APIs)Metrics & Reporting: Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor compliance performance, operational risk, and fraud trendsCustomer Experience: Ensure that compliance processes remain frictionless, balancing user experience with regulatory obligationsSkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)8+ years of experience in Product Management, with at least 3+ years in risk, compliance, or fraud within payments, fintech, or financial servicesDeep understanding of AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud, and data privacy regulationsProven ability to deliver compliant solutions that scale across multiple markets and jurisdictionsStrong technical acumen — able to work closely with engineering teams and data pipelinesExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsExperience with compliance technology (KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions APIs, etc.) is highly desirableBenefitsSalary + Bonus + Stock Options + Health BenefitsCompetitive salary and equity packagesFlexible working hours and a remote-friendly cultureHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLearning and development budgetA collaborative, growth-oriented engineering cultureEveryone at Veem is eligible for a bonus to reward you for your effort and contributionsInternal public offerings: Our goal is to go public and we are offering our valued employees options packages when they join Veem.Company OverviewVeem is a payment service provider that helps simplify the way businesses send and receive funds.
