They are seeking a Principal Product Manager, AI Agents to define and build the core product experience, working closely with founders and teams to shape a category-defining product.ResponsibilitiesOwn major portions of Monarch’s product strategy and execution, especially around AI agents, workflows, context, and enterprise use casesPartner closely with founders to translate vision into concrete product decisions, product requirements, and execution plansWork directly with design and engineering to move ideas from concept to shipped productDefine user stories, workflows, success metrics, acceptance criteria, and launch plansShape AI-powered experiences involving:Agent creationAgent configurationAgent executionMemoryRetrievalContext managementWorkflow orchestrationPermissionsTool accessApprovalsTrust and governanceDrive product discovery through customer conversations, workflow analysis, feedback, and researchIdentify high-value customer problems and convert them into clear product prioritiesDefine how agents are created, configured, evaluated, monitored, improved, and governedDesign product systems for managing:ContextPermissionsMemoryWorkflowsApprovalsTool accessHuman reviewSource visibilityExecution logsError handlingCollaborate closely with engineering on architecture tradeoffs, implementation sequencing, data-model decisions, and technical constraintsPartner closely with product design to make complex AI behavior feel clear, useful, and controllableDevelop frameworks for measuring product quality, user success, adoption, engagement, workflow completion, and business impactWork directly with customers to understand how work actually happens inside real organizationsUse AI heavily in your own workflow to accelerate research, planning, prototyping, analysis, and executionHelp establish product culture, operating principles, and decision-making frameworks as the company scalesSkillsExceptional product judgmentExperience building successful software products in high-growth SaaS, AI, workflow, developer, productivity, collaboration, knowledge management, or enterprise software companiesExperience working on products involving AI, LLMs, copilots, search, automation, workflows, agents, developer platforms, or enterprise systemsStrong systems thinker who can understand both user experience and technical architectureAbility to simplify complex workflows without oversimplifying the underlying problemStrong understanding of: APIs, Integrations, Permissions, Workflows, Enterprise software, Data models, Product architecture, Agentic systems, AI product failure modesExperience working closely with design and engineering teams to ship high-quality productsAbility to navigate ambiguity and drive progress without needing perfect informationStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfort operating in a fast-moving environment with significant ownership and accountabilityBias toward action and executionAbility to balance long-term product vision with short-term product deliveryExperience working directly with founders and executive teams, and possessing an entrepreneurial drive, is a major plusExperience helping scale products from early-stage environments through meaningful growthExperience at one or more of the following types of companies: OpenAI, Anthropic, Glean, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Linear, Notion, Retool, Ramp, Stripe, Figma, Intercom, Vercel, Atlassian, CursorExperience building: AI products, Enterprise software, Workflow tools, Automation platforms, Knowledge systems, Developer tools, Productivity software, Search products, SaaS platforms, Agentic products or AI copilotsBenefitsMeaningful early-hire equity.Significant upside tied to company and product success.Healthcare, 401(k), life insurance, and additional benefits.Remote-first with periodic in-person collaboration.Company OverviewMeet Monarch AI.
