[Remote] Principal Presales Consultant

The Principal Solutions Consultant will perform and demonstrate all of BlackLine's accounting modules to prospective customers, supporting the sales team and ensuring client expectations are exceeded.ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Sales team through answering prospect technical, software, and accounting questionsPerform needs analysis calls on prospective clients to thoroughly and accurately understand their challengesKeep current on new product functionality and its proper useDeliver relevant and pertinent demonstrations of all BlackLine modules based on prospect needsComplete ROI Analysis for prospective clientsAssist with completion and review of requests for proposal and information (RFPs and RFIs)Provide and review BlackLine best practices, use case scenarios and prospective client stories both internally and externally (including community) to assist prospective clients with expanded use of application functionalityServe as a Moderator in the BlackLine CommunityEducate prospects and clients through webinars, on-site training presentations, and trialsPrepare and deliver effective custom demonstrations using prospect dataProvide coverage, education, and application expertise by attending client/prospect roundtables, conferences and other eventsDocument relevant activities in Salesforce and other tools as assignedServe as a mentor to Solutions Consultants and Senior Solutions ConsultantsWork with the Solution Consulting Enablement team to improve the quality of BlackLine demonstration systemsParticipate in product review activities to provide insight in desired enhancements to BlackLine solutionsOther duties as assignedSkillsExtensive experience creating and delivering compelling presentations for BlackLine SolutionsStrong ability to demonstrate and persuade using influencing skills and relating to prospective customers in a consultative mannerStrong communication and teamwork skillsDemonstrated ability to build relationships and trust with prospects/clientsProven ability to understand and address prospective client objectionsStrong ability to match product functionality to the prospects' business needsDemonstrate integrity, trustworthiness, and good judgmentExpert knowledge of the operation of commercial business accounting departmentsStrong accounting knowledgeMinimum 4 years enterprise level experience as a Solutions ConsultantBachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration or work equivalentPrevious enterprise level experience as a Solutions ConsultantBenefitsShort-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibilityA robust offering of benefit and wellness plansA wide variety of professional development seminars and inclusive affinity groups to celebrate and support our diversityCandidates who live within a reasonable commute to one of our offices will work in the office at least 3 days a weekCompany OverviewCompanies turn to BlackLine (Nasdaq: BL) to help solve their most complex finance and accounting challenges through the power of Agentic Financial Operations.
