Remote Principal Mechanical Engineer - Aerospace

Key Responsibilities:

Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering innovation. Drive the development and execution of testing and validation plans for new designs. Identify and implement innovative design solutions to overcome complex engineering challenges. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in aerospace mechanical engineering. Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and findings to senior management and clients. Contribute to proposal development and technical strategy for future projects.
Required Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and analysis, with a significant focus on the aerospace industry. Deep expertise in structural analysis, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics, and vibrations. Proficiency with advanced CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA/CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, Star-CCM+). Proven experience with aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and testing methodologies. Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to lead technical discussions and influence stakeholders. Experience with systems engineering principles and requirements management.
