[Remote] Principal Implementation Consultant

The Principal Implementation Consultant is responsible for implementing software products, advising customers on best practices, and managing complex implementation projects while providing subject matter leadership within the department.ResponsibilitiesDrives and manages all project phases and milestones to completion within budget, scope, schedule, and customer satisfactionManages a diverse portfolio and delivers large-scale implementation projects of multiple, concurrent, complex or enterprise-level projects with little supervisionMentors and advises less experienced ICs/Senior ICs on BlackLine implementation processes and proceduresProvides advisement on industry best practices for use in the configuration of the BlackLine suite of productsPerforms additional tasks and responsibilities as assignedCreates and maintains documentation throughout the implementation to include “ management of project budget, data requirements, project timelines, issue trackers and risk mitigation plans, etcUtilizes business acumen, Accounting/Finance Industry knowledge, and product knowledge to serve as a trusted advisor and become an application expert to address client use cases and business challengesCollaborates with all key stakeholders regarding project progress and next steps in a real time mannerProvides training and guidance to customers throughout the projectAddresses complex client requirements in multiple modules, working with other teams at BlackLine to devise and implement related solutionsCollaborates and contributes to team goals and successes, including development of new processes, partnering cross-org to assist with product development, identifying implementation process improvements, and delivering training across the teams and subject matter expertiseElicits, documents, interprets and translates client business requirements to be used for application configuration and project deliveryAssesses, troubleshoots, and tests BlackLine products during the implementation cycleManages and sets expectations with stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle, as well as the pre-sales processSkillsAt least 8 years of experience in Consulting Services, Client Services and/or Professional Services environmentBachelor's degree or equivalent work experiencePrevious project management experience in a revenue driven environment (e.g. Time and materials billing)Demonstrated successful completion of multiple, complex enterprise-level client implementation projectsProven experience to balance multiple projects at any given time and stay on top of all detailsDemonstrated experience communicating and presenting to a diverse set of people across groups and organizational levelsExperience in SaaS industry and/or Software, as well as issues related to installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and supportExperience with large scale ERP systems including SAP and OracleAdvanced Knowledge/experience in Accounting, Audits, Financial Services, Software Technology, SaaS industry and/or related experienceExcellent communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detailEffective negotiation/conflict resolution skillsEffective problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to deliver world-class service and high-impact results while navigating challenging situationsAbility to manage self and others under pressure and time-sensitive deadlinesAbility to facilitate and harness cross-team collaboration working with teams in-person and virtuallyFour plus years of experience in the audit/accounting industryFour years of experience with BlackLine Products preferredPMP certificationAccounting degree and/or experience preferred4 years of experience with BlackLine Products preferredBenefitsIn addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.BlackLine offers a wide variety of professional development seminars and inclusive affinity groups to celebrate and support our diversity.Candidates who live within a reasonable commute to one of our offices will work in the office at least 3 days a week.Company OverviewCompanies turn to BlackLine (Nasdaq: BL) to help solve their most complex finance and accounting challenges through the power of Agentic Financial Operations.
