Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an executive audience messaging and narrative leader to shape how business and technology leaders understand AI and cloud innovation. The role involves defining value propositions, building messaging frameworks, and creating content that resonates with C-suite executives. This position is critical in ensuring consistent and compelling storytelling for senior audiences across various marketing channels.ResponsibilitiesConduct an audit of existing executive-facing messaging and content to identify opportunities for greater consistency, impact, and differentiationBuild a deep, research-backed understanding of executive personasâwith particular focus on business-oriented roles (i.e. CIO/CTO, CEO/founders, CFO, CMO, CRO, CHRO) whose priorities and decision-making processes differ from technical buyersMap how these leaders define success, their challenges and pain points, how they discover and evaluate information, and how they make decisionsâdeveloping rich audience profiles that inform all downstream messagingIdentify where executive audience messaging can be strengthened across the organization, establishing a clear view of where dedicated ownership adds the most valueDefine and own the executive audience messaging frameworkâtranslating AWS capabilities, business outcomes, and strategic value into positioning and stories that resonate with C-suite decision-makersDevelop core messaging pillars, value propositions, and accompanying customer stories for executive personas, ensuring they connect the needs of these leaders with AWSâs differentiated valueSynthesize market intelligence, customer feedback, competitive insights, and subject matter expert input to continuously refine positioning and messaging strategyServe as the executive audience subject matter expertâthe go-to resource that teams across Marketing, Sales, and Communications turn to for guidance on how to engage senior leaders effectivelyDevelop core messaging assets and templates that industry, account-based marketing, and field teams can customize for their specific executive engagementsâensuring consistency and quality at scaleCreate foundational content including executive-ready narratives, presentation frameworks, talk tracks, briefing materials, and thought leadership themesLead message testing and optimization programs, using data, analytics, and direct customer feedback to validate effectiveness marketing, communications, business, or equivalent10+ years in the technology industry with experience in product marketing, messaging strategy, executive communications, or audience-segment marketingExperience developing strategic positioning, messaging frameworks, and narratives for C-suite and senior executive audiences as well as influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across complex, matrixed organizationsDeep understanding of enterprise technology, cloud computing, and AI/MLâsufficient to credibly translate technical capabilities into business value for non-technical executive audiencesExperience building deep customer understanding for a specific audience segment and translating it into differentiated positioning and go-to-market strategiesMaster's degree or above in marketing, communications, or equivalentExperience building audience-specific messaging functions or centers of excellence within large technology organizationsExperience with message testing methodologies and marketing analytics to validate and optimize messaging effectivenessExperience developing positioning, frameworks, and assets intended for customization and reuse by
